The objective replacement name is Pterospoda Dyar, [1903]. See: PTEROSPODA Dyar, [1903] 1902. Parsons et al. (1999) included SPODOPTERA Hulst, 1896 as a jnuor synonym of PTEROSPODA Dyar, 1903.
