Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- G. permutataria is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena trimaculata Villers, 1789, Caroli Linn. Ent. 2: 384. Stegania Guenée, 1845, was designated as a valid genus and brought out of synonymy by Yazaki, 1992, Tinea 13 (Suppl. 2) : 22. Parsons et al. (1999) included CALOMICTA Gumppenberg, 1887; EUSTEGANIA Gumppenberg, 1887; and TERPNOMICTA Lederer, 1852 as junior synonyms of STEGANIA Guenée, 1845. Parsons et al. (1999) included 10 species and 9 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus STEGANIA.
