Memo: Cowan (1970: 12) stated:- A nomen nudum. Rafinesque introduced this as a new name for an unspecified part of what he called Hesperia Cuvier, giving no other information. It is unidentifiable, does not conform to Articles 12 and 16, and is not available. It is interesting that Boisduval resurrected this name 17 years later for some exotic Hesperiidae. Both uses were invalid, the name being preoccupied in Coleoptera by Steven, 1806. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
