Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- A junior homonym of Arna Walker, 1855 ibidem 5: 1176 - Lepid., Lymantriidae. There is no objective replacement name, but A. extrema was stated by Hampson, 1899 Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1898 (4): 630-632, to be congeneric with Desmia maculalis Westwood, 1832, the type-species of Desmia Westwood, 1832; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. Arna Walker, 1856, was established in the Aegeriidae, now Sesiidae; it was placed in the Pyralidae by Hampson, 1899 ibidem 1898: 630.
