| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- An incorrect subsequent spelling of Anartula Staudinger, 1893. Anartula was established unnecessarily as an objective replacement name for Noctuides Staudinger, 1892, which Staudinger mistakenly believed to be preoccupied by Noctuides Leach, 1815, in Brewster Edinburgh Encycl. 9: 133; Leach used Noctuides for the name of a tribe, not for the name of a genus. |
