Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) included ACRIA in the subfamily OECOPHORIDAE : DEPRESSARIINAE. Hodges, in Kristensen (1999) included ACRIA in the PELEOPODIDAE. Acria Stephens, 1834 was designated as the type-genus for the new subfamily Acriinae, (Xyloryctidae) by Kuznetzov & Stekolnikov, 1984, Trudy Zoologicheskogo Instituta Akademii Nauk SSSR 122 : 47. Acriinae Kuznetzov & Stekoinikov, 1984 was treated as a synonym for the Peleopodidae by Minet 1986, Alexanor 14 (7) : 297. Acria was treated in the Oecophoridae, Depressariinae by Nye & Fletcher, 1991, 6 : 4. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Acria was included in the "Cryptophasidae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 3; it was transferred to the Oecophoridae Depressariinae by Hodges, 1978, in Dominick et al., Moths. Am. N. of Mexico 6(1): 8.
