| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- T. contraria is a junior subjective synonym of Ochrogaster lunifer Herrich-Schäffer, [1855 June], the type-species of Ochrogaster Herrich-Schäffer, [1855 June]. Teara was established in the Liparidae, now Lymantriidae; ent. Soc. Lond. 1903: 498; and was placed in the Cnethocampinae, now Thaumetopoeidae, by Turner, 1922, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 47: 371.
