Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Thyridesia was originally proposed as a subgenus of Semiothisa Hübner, 1818. The part of Seitz containing page 385 has appeared only in the German edition; on that page the date of its publication is stated to be 4.iv.1940. Parsons et al. (1999) included ACADRA Herrich-Schäffer, 1823; ALLOCHROSIS Strand, 1912; ARTE Stephens, 1829; AUTOMOLODES Warren, 1894; DISCALMA Meyrick, 1892; EVARZIA Walker, 1860; GODONELA Boisduval, 1840; GUBARIA Moore, 1887; HERCYNA Stephens, 1829; HYOSTOMODES Warren, 1897; IULOCERA Warren, 1902; LOXOPORA Warren, 1914; NEOMACARIA Wehrli, 1937; OSTEODES Guenée, 1858; PERIDELA Warren, 1897; PHARMACIS Hübner, 1823; STRENIA Duponchel, 1829; TEPHRINOPSIS Warren, 1896; THYRIDESIA Wehrli, 1940; and XENONEURA Warren, 1896 as junior synonyms of CHIASMIA Hübner, 1823.
