Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Tiliacea when originally proposed contained a second species, but this was doubtfully included and, under the Code, Article 68 (c), is not eligible for selection as type-species. Poole (1989) included XANTHA Billberg, 1820; CIRRHIA Hübner, 1821; CITRIA Hübner, 1821; MELLINIA Hübner, 1821; EUTHEMONIA Gistl, 1848; and TILIACEA Tutt, 1896 as junior synonyms of XANTHIA Ochsenheimer, 1816.
