Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) and Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Trichaea was established in the `Syntomina', now Ctenuchidae; it was transferred to the Pyralidae by Gundlach, 1881, Contr. Ent. Cubana 1: 229. TRICHAEA was included within the subfamily CRAMBIDAE: PYRAUSTINAE by Munroe & Solis, in Kristensen (1999). Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats TRICHAEA in the CRAMBIDAE: SPILOMELINAE.
