| Memo: | Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Trichocossus was established in the Cossidae; it was retained in the Cossidae "with some hesitation" by Janse, 1917, Ann. Natal Mus. 3: 604, 613, in his work on the South African Bagworms (Psychidae); it was included doubtfully in the Cossidae by Janse, 1917, Check-List S. Afr. Lepid. Heterocera: 128; it was included without comment in the Psychidae by Janse, 1919, Ann. Natal Mus. 4: 139. |
