Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- P. brassicae is a junior subjective synonym of Noctua ni Hübner, [1803], Samml. eur. Schmett. 4: pl. 58, fig. 284. Poole (1989) included THYSANOPLUSIA Ichinosé, 1973 as a junior synonym of TRICHOPLUSIA McDunnough, 1944. Poole (1989) included 45 species in the genus TRICHOPLUSIA.
