Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- An incorrect subsequent spelling of Aspis Treitschke, 1829. Duponchel used * Aspidia again in 1834, in Godart & Duponchel, Hist. nat. Lépid. Papillons Fr. 9: 20, but this usage must also be treated as an incorrect subsequent spelling as Duponchel did not make it clear that he was proposing an objective replacement name for Aspis Treitschke, 1829, until a later fascicle, published in 1835, of the same work.
