Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- N. italica is a junior subjective synonym of Noctua luctuosa [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775. See also: Dysthymia Newman, 1868. Poole (1989) included TYTA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus TYTA.
