| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- P. malvae has also been cited as Noctua malvae Hübner, [1808], Samml. eur. Schmett. 4: pl.77, fig. 358. N. malvae is a junior subjective synonym of Noctua albago Fabricius, 1794, Ent. Syst. 3 (2): 74. Poole (1989) included XANTHODES in the subfamily NOCTUIDAE: CHLOEPHORINAE, which are included within the NOLIDAE: CHLOEPHORINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included 12 species in the genus XANTHODES. |
