| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- After examining a syntype of Acidalia hepaticaria Guenée, 1857, labelled `Typicum Specimen', 'Ex Musaeo Ach. Guenée', Barnes & Benjamin, 1927, Pan-Pacif. Ent. 4 (2): 89, concluded that the species previously known under that name in North America had been misidentified species was Acidalia rubromarginaria Packard, 1871. Thus Acidalia hepaticaria Guenée sensu Hulst, 1896 = Acidalia rubromarginaria Packard, 1871. See Frontispiece 1, fig.9, Acidalia rubromarginaria Packard, male. Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. Parsons et al. (1999) included CALYPTOCOME Warren, 1900; SCELOLOPHIA Hulst, 1896; WAUCHULA Hulst, 1900; and XYSTROTA Hulst, 1896 as junior synonyms of LEPTOSTALES Möschler, 1890. |
