| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- As shown above, the name Yramea Reuss was first published in October 1920. In addition, for some inexplicable reason Reuss published Yramea as a new name no less than three times in the following year, namely : - (a) in January 1921 (Soc. ent., Stuttgart 36 : 4 et nota 1) ; (b) in April 1921 (loc. cit. 36 : 15); (c) in November 1921 (Ent. Mitt. 10 : 189). Cowan (1968: 15) stated:- YRAMEA, line 1: "9 : 1920" should read; 9 : 192. YRAMEA was included within the subfamily NYMPHALIDAE: HELICONIINAE by Ackery et al., in Kristensen (1999). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). See images at Butterflies of America. |
