Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Acrognophos was originally proposed as a subgenus of Gnophos Treitschke, 1825. Parsons et al. (1999) included ACROGNOPHOS Wiltshire, 1967; CATASCIA Hübner, 1825; CHELEGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; CNESTROGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; DICROGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; DYSGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; GNOPHUS Agassiz, 1847; ORGANOGNOPHOS Wehrli, 2952; PTERYGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; RHINOGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1953; RHIPIGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; SACROGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; SCOTOPTERIX Hübner, 1825; SCOTOPTERYX Agassiz, 1847; TRILOBIGNOPHOS Wehrli, 1951; and ZYSTROGNOPHOS as junior synonyms of GNOPHOS Treitschke, 1825.
