Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Zazanisa was established in the Thermesidae, now Noctuidae Ophiderinae; it was included in the Pyralidae Schoenobiinae by Hampson, 1896 Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1895: 902; and in the Pyralidae Midilinae by Munroe, 1970, Mem. ent. Soc. Can. 74: 14. Poole (1989) included ZAZANISA in the NOCTUIDAE but did not assign it to a subfamily. Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus ZAZANISA. According to the card index of Lepidoptera names in the British Museum (Natural History), ZAZANISA is a synonym of CACOGRAPHIS Lederer, 1863 and should be placed in the Crambidae, Midilinae (pers. comm. G. Beccaloni).
