Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Megaphysa majoralis Guenée sensu Lederer, 1863, ibidem 7: 413, pl.3, fig.9 included by Lederer in his genus Atheropoda, was shown by Snellen, 1892, ibidem 35: 169, to be a misidentification. Snellen named the misidentified species Atheropoda inflexalis. Snellen named the misidentified species Atheropoda inflexalis. Under the Code, Article 70(a), the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. We suggest that the Commission be asked to designate as the type-species of Atheropoda the nominal species actually involved, namely Atheropoda inflexalis Snellen, 1892.
