| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The binomen Lycaena ornata has been published as a new name for various taxa on a number of occasions, but this appears to be the earliest of these homonyms and therefore to be an available name nomenclatorially. It is accordingly here treated as the valid name for the present species. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
