Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- A junior homonym of AtreibAes Jones, 1908, Lepid., Noctuidae. This generic name probably originated from Hampson, and was used and unintentionally made nomenclaturally available by Jones prior to its proposal and generic description by Hampson for a similar concept but having a different type-species. There is no objective replacement name but A. albiluna is congeneric with Atrephes phocea Jones, 1908, the type-species of Atrephes Jones, 1908. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name. The date of publication of Hampson's Catalogue volume 7 is taken as 1908 December 14th from Collins, 1962, Ann. mag. nat. Hist. (13) 5 126. See: ATREPHES Jones, 1908 June.
