Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- Blanchard confused two species in his description of his Satyrus brahminus. His "male" was the new species which he was then describing, but his so-called "female" belonged to a different, though allied, species named at almost exactly the same time, namely Satyrus swaha Kollar, [1844]. The name Aulocera Butler has been placed by the Commission by the Ruling given in its Opinion 278 (1954, Opin. int. Comm. zool. Nom. 6 : 135-178) on the "Official List of Generic Names in Zoology" as Name No. 697. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
