| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Banepa was not placed in a subfamily when established in the Pyralidae; it was placed in the Schoenobiinae by Hampson, 1896 Fauna Br. India (Moths) 4: 39; on the advice of our colleague Mr M. Shaffer, it is here transferred to the Nymphulinae. Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats BANEPA in the CRAMBIDAE: SPILOMELINAE. |
