Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- A junior homonym of Barsine Walker, 1854, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 2: 546 - Lepid. Arctiidae. The objective replacement name is Meyrickia Butler, 1884. Barsine was again proposed by Meyrick, 1884, Trans. N.Z. Inst. 16: 100. See: MEYRICKIA Butler, 1884. Parsons et al. (1999) included AEGITRICHUS Butler, 1886; BARSINE Meyrick, 1883; CEROTRICHA Guenée, 1857; CARECOMOTIS Warren, 1896; CHOGADA Moore, 1887; MEYRICKIA Butler, 1884; and NEOCLEORA Janse, 1932 as junior synonyms of CLEORA Curtis, 1825.
