Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- A junior homonym of Batia Stephens, 1834, Illust. Br. Ent. (Haustellata) 4: 290 - Lepid., Oecophoridae. There is no objective replacement name but B. squamicosta was found by Hampson (unpublished annotation to his personal copy of his Classification of the Chrysauginae, 1897 Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1897 (634-692) to be congeneric with Paridnea holophaealis Ragonot, 1892, the type-species of Paridnea Ragonot, 1892; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name.
