| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Invalid type-species designation: Bazaria pempeliella Ragonot, 1893, in Romanoff Mém Lépid. 7: 454, pl.17, fig.22, was a nomen nudum when originally included in Bazaria, and designated by Ragonot, 1887, ibidem (6) 7: 234; Ragonot cited the type-species as `pempeliella Stgr', probably a Staudinger manuscript name. Ragonot's invalid original type-species designation has been repeated by subsequent authors, but cannot be accepted as B. pempeliella was not an available name when originally included. |
