Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- P. perspicillaris is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena polyodon Clerck, 1759, Icones Insect. rariorum 1: pl.2, fig. 2. Poole (1989) included ACTINOTIA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (1999). Poole (1989) included CHLOANTHA Boisduval, Rambur & Graslin, 1836; and CHLOANTHA Agassiz, 1847 as junior synonyms of ACTINOTIA Hübner, 1821. Poole (1989) included 8 species in the genus ACTINOTIA.
