Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Betousa was established in the Thermesidae now Noctuidae Ophiderinae; it was placed in the Thyrididae by Swinhoe, 1900, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ. Mus. 2: 408; and transferred to the Pyralidae Pyraustinae by Whalley, 1964, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (13) 7: 117. See also: Neothyris Warren, 1899. Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats BETOUSA in the CRAMBIDAE: SPILOMELINAE.
