Blepharidia Püngeler has been placed on the Official Index of Rejected and Invalid Generic Names in Zoology: Name No. 1831. See: BLEPHAROSIS Boursin, 1964. Poole (1989) included BREPHARIDIA Püngeler, 1900 as a junior synonym of BLEPHAROSIS Boursin, 1964.
