| Memo: | Cowan (1970: 10) stated:- The Felders introduced this generic name for two species, "Ph. peleus Lin. et gentius Cram." which they separated from Phareas Westwood. Brachycneme Felder & Felder is a junior objective synonym of Entheus Hübner, [1819]. "Brachycneme Herrich-Schaffer- of Hemming," 1964, 1967 is a ghost name." Cowan (1970: 42) stated:- "BRACHYCNEME : delete", [reason's given above]. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
