Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Brachytaenia has been used as the original generic name for species which are now in the Noctuidae. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Brachytaenia was established for T. semifasciana and for another species that Stephens placed in a separate subgenus. Brachytaenia is therefore not monotypic as stated by some authors. Listed under APOTOMIS Hubner, [1825] 1816, Verz. bekannter Schmett. 380 in T@RTS: Online World Catalogue of the Tortricidae (Ver. 2.0) by Gilligan, T. M., J. Baixeras, J. W. Brown & K. R.
