Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Briarda was the spelling used in the Key to Genera on page 1079, and for three new species on pages 1098-1099; * Briada, used as the heading, was an inadvertent error. Walker himself continued to use Briarda, e.g. 1865, ibidem 33: 894. See also: Ansa Walker, 1858; and Erygansa Bethane-Baker, 1906. Poole (1989) included BRIARDA Walker, 1858; ANSA Walker, 1858; and ERYGANSA Bethune-Baker, 1906 as junior synonyms of FELINIA Guenée, 1852.
