Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- The objective synonyms Cabera Treitschke and Deilinia Hübner were both proposed in 1825. The dates of publication of the relevant parts of the works concerned were discussed by Fletcher, 1966, Entomologist's Gaz. 17: 10-12. Geometra respersaria Hübner, [1799], was designated as type-species of Cabera by Blanchard, 1840 [December], in Castelnau, Hist. nat. Insectes 3: 534, but was cited as strigillaria Hübner, which Blanchard placed on the same page as a senior synonym of respersaria Hübner. Notice of publication of Blanchard's work containing this designation appeared in 1840 December 26, Biblphie Fr. 1840 No.52: 697, Entry no. 6291. Blanchard's designation is, however, antedated by that of Westwood, the date of which is taken from the wrapper or part 16, which included pages 97-158. Incorrect type-species: Phalaena strigillaria Hübner, 1787, a name not originally included in Cabera and not linked with one of the originally included names when designated by Duponchel, 1829, in Godart & Duponchel, Hist. nat. Lépid. Papillons Fr. 7 (2): 108. The subsequent synonymy of P. strigillaria Hübner, 1787, with Geometra respersaria Hübner, [1799], one of the names originally included in Cabera, was not published by Duponchel until 1836, ibidem 8 (1): 8; Duponchel's designation of P. strigillaria as type-species of Cabera does not therefore meet the requirements of Article 69(a)(iv) of the Code.
