Memo: Nye (19750 stated:- The binomen Sesamia fusca originated from Hampson but was described and unintentionally made nomenclaturally available as Sesamia fusca Fuller, 1901, Natal Dep. Agric. First Rep. Govt Entomologist 1899 - 1900 45, pl.11, prior to its proposal and description by Hampson for the same species. S. fusca Hampson, 1902, is a junior primary homonym and also a junior subjective synonym of S. fusca Fuller, 1901; the latter should therefore be used as the subjective replacement name. See also Busseola Thurau, 1904. Poole (1989) included CALAMISTIS Hampson, 1908 as a junior synonym of BUSSEOLA Thurau, 1904.
