Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- C. comosa is a junior subjective synonym of Erebus dasypterus Kollar, 1844, in Hügel, Kaschmir und das Reich der Siek 4: 476. Poole (1989) included CALESIA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included PASIPEDA Walker, 1865; MECYRA Walker, 1865; ZIRONA Walker, 1869; ASYMBATA Gerstaecker, 1871; CARADANA Moore, 1884; and LECASIA Fawcett, 1916 as junior synonyms of CALESIA Guenée, 1852. Poole (1989) included 27 species in the genus CALESIA.
