| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon represented by the nominal species Callicista ocellifera Grote is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Hesperia columella Fabricius, 1793 (Ent. syst. 3 (1) : 282). Robbins (2001. J. Lepid. Soc. 55(3): 85-100 included Callipareus Scudder, 1872; Callicista Grote, 1873; Uranotes Scudder, 1876; Eiseliana Toledo, 1978; and Heoda Johnson, Miller & Herrara, 1992 as junior synonyms of Strymon Hübner, 1818. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
