| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Hampson on page 286 used Caprima Walker, [1865] 1864; cited C. gelida Walker, [1865] 1864 as type-species; and included Hypocrita albicollis Pagenstetcher, 1886, as a junior subjective synonym of gelida. In the Addenda on page 561, Hampson stated that C. gelida was a zygaenid; that the valid name of the arctiid species should be albicollis; and established a new genus Caprimima for the concept for which he had incorrectly used Caprima on page 286. H. albicollis is a junior subjective synonym of Damius elegans Boisduval, 1832, in d'Urville, Voyage du Découvertes de l'Astrolaba (Fauna ent.) 1:259, fig. See also: Damias Boisduval, 1832. |
