Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- This genus was originally proposed in the Geometridae, but has since been transferred to the Noctuidae. I have not found any published reference to its inclusion in the Noctuidae prior to that by Nye, 1975, ibidem 1: 104. Poole (1989) included CARPOLITHA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included 2 species in the genus CARPHOLITHIA.
