Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- The designation by Duponchel is acceptable as a type-species fixation as it is contained in the continuation of a layout in which Duponchel stated, in the same work 7(2); 102, that the species so cited were the types of genera. A junior homonym of Aedia Hübner, [1823] 1816, Verz. bekannter Schmett.: 260, - Lepid., Noctuidae. There is no objective replacement name but T. echiella was treated by Sattler, 1967, Macrolepid. Palaearct. 2: 37, as being congeneric with Tinea aurifluella Hübner, [1810], the type-species of Ethmia Hübner, [1819]. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name.
