Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- S. consecraria was figured by Rambur [1866] 1858, Cat. syst. Lépid. Andalouise: pl.20, figs 5, 6, but was without an available name under Article 11(g)(ii) of the Code, binominal nomenclature was not used on the legend to plate 20, only a species-group name being printed. Staudinger, who was the first author to apply binominal nomenclature to the species, treated it tentatively as a race of Geometra antophilaria Hübner, [1813] 1795, Samml. eur. Schmett. 5: pl.84, fig.433. Agenjo, 1952, ibidem: 180 based his generic diagnosis of Casilda on S. consecraria, associating it tentatively, as did Staudinger, with G. antophilaria, as a subspecies. Sutton, 1960, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (13) 6: 370 established S. consecraria Staudinger as a distinct species. Parsons et al. (1999) included 5 species in CASILDA.
