Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Catadyscia was originally proposed as a subgenus of Dyscia Hübner, [1825], and was again so proposed by Wehrli, 1953, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 4 (Suppl.): 666. D. atlantica, originally proposed as a subspecies of Scodiona hispanaria Millière, 1866, in the combination Dyscia (Scodiona) hispanaria atlantica, was raised to specific rank by Zerny, 1935, Mém. Soc. Sci. nat. Maroc 42: 93. Parsons et al. (1999) included CALODYSCIA Wehrli, 1950; CATADYSCIA Wehrli, 1950; EUDYSCIA Wehrli, 1950; IBERAFRINA Wehrli, 1950; MAESIA Stephens, 1831; PSEDNOTHRIX Hübner, 1825; RJABOVANA Wehrli, 1950; SCODIONA Boisduval, 1840; WARNECKEELLA Wehrli, 1950; and ZULEIKA Bang-Haas, 1906 as junior synonyms of DYSCIA Hübner, 1825.
