Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- The name of the type-species was originally published in October 1887 as gemmatilla. In March 1888 it was published as gemmatella in the General Index to volume 3 and as gematella in the Errors and Corrections. The spelling gemmatella has had universal usage during the present century and has been adopted in this catalogue. Cayuga was established in the Phycitidae, now Pyralidae Phycitinae; it was transferred to the Phycitidae Peoriinae, now Pyralidae Peoriinae, by Hulst, 1890, Trans. Am. ent. Soc. 17: 208, and confirmed in that subfamily by Shaffer, 1968 Bull. U.S. natn. Mus. 280: 10.
