Memo: Fletcher (1979) and Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Ceratophora Gray, [1835] 1833-1834, Illust. Indian Zool. 2: pl.68, fig.2, Reptilia. There is no objective replacement name, but C. carmelitaria is a senior subjective synonym of Sorocaba anomala Moore, 1882, the type-species of Sorocaba Moore, 1882; the latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name. Ceratophora Guenée, 1858, was established in the Geometridae; and was transferred to the Lymantriidae by Fletcher (1979: 192).
