Paragorgopis Viette, 1951, [a Junior Homonym of Paragorgopis Giglio-Tos, 1893 - Diptera] was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Aepytus Herrich-Schüffer, [1858] 1850-1858 by Nielsen and Robinson, 1983, Entomonograph 4, p.19. Schaefferiana Viette, 1950, was downgrade to denote a subgenus of Aepytus Herrich-Schüffer, [1858] 1850-1858 by Nielsen and Robinson, 1983, Entomonograph 4, p.19.
