| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- On noticing that the name Charmona Stichel, 1910, was (as explained above) invalid under the Law of Homonymy, Strand replaced it with the name Charmonana. Although not invalid under the Law of Homonymy, as the name Charmona Stichel is, the name Charmona Strand is nevertheless an invalid name, as it is a junior objective synonym of Charis Hübner, [1819]. Cowan (1970: 44) stated:- "Charmona Strand should read: Charmonana Strand. "CHARMONANA - to read - CHARMONONA (also in lines 4, 6, and Index under Charis, Charmona, etc.). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
