Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- C. collesi was a Children manuscript name made nomenclaturally available by Gray. Chelepteryx was established in the Notodontidae as a subgenus of Endromis Ochsenheimer, 1810; it was placed in the Liparidae, now Lymantriidae, by Walker, 1855, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 4: 913, where the name was incorrectly spelt as Chalepteryx; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 787; it was placed in the Eupterotidae by Swinhoe, 1892, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ. Mus. 1: 274; and in the Lymantriidae, subfamily Anthelinae by Turner, 1904, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1904: 481. The subfamily Anthelinae was raised to family level by Turner, 1920, Trans. ent. Soc.
