Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- A junior homonym of Chionella Cossmann, 1866, Annls Soc. r. malacol. Belg. 21: 117, - Mollusca. The objective replacement name is Chionellidea Amsel, 1940. Chionella Amsel, 1935, was established in the Scythrididae; it was transferred to the Symmocidae by Sattler, 1973, Bull. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. (Ent.) 28: 183.
