Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Chloridea was attributed to Westwood, by Sherborn, 1924, Index Anim. (1801-1850): 1240, and by Neave, 1939, Nomencl. zoot. 1: 705. Although Westwood was not acknowledged by Duncan in the original description, justification can be found in Stainton, 1885, Entomologist's mon. mag. 21: 181-186, who quoted from a letter by Westwood. The difficulty can be overcome by attributing Westwood with anonymous junior authorship. P. rhexiae is a junior subjective synonym of Noctua virescens Fabricius, [1777]. Poole (1989) included HELIOTHISA Meigen, 1832; HELIOTIS Sodoffsky, 1837; CHLORIDEA Duncan & Westwood, 1841; ASPILA Guenée, 1852 (preoccupied); HELIOCHEILUS Grote, 1865; RHODOSEA Grote, 1883; and DYSOCNEMIS Grote, 1890 as junior synonyms of HELIOTHIS Ochsenheimer, 1816.
