Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Chordates was established conditionally in the Tineina, now Tineidae, to contain Simaethis aurofasciana Snellen, 1875, and S. pronubana Snellen, 1877; the two species were included in the Glyphipterigidae by Meyrick, 1913, in Wagner, Lepid. Cat. 13: 33, 34, but the generic name Chordates was omitted; it was included in the Glyphipterigidae by Fletcher, 1929, ibidem 11: 47; and transferred to the Choreutidae by Heppner, 1981, in Heppner & Duckworth, Smithson. Contr. Zool. 314: 55. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Chordates was included in the "Glyphipterygidae" by Fletcher, 1929, ibidem 11: 47; it was transferred to the Choreutidae by Heppner, 1981, in Heppner & Duckworth, Smithson.
